As we told you previously, we're following the real-time impact that 2012 Super Bowl car advertisements are having on Edmunds.com. See what happened in the 1st quarter and the pregame show here, and follow the jump to see how the second quarter stacked up.
Advertisements in the second quarter included the "Best" Lexus GS 350 spot, Chevy's "Chevy Happy Grad", the Volkswagen commercial that doesn't have the Darth Vader kid, and a Chevy Sonic commercial.
The winner of this quarter was Lexus who saw a 530% jump in activity thanks to the GS ad. The constant pressure by the Sonic has resulted in a 346% spike. The Beetle ad, proving people love dogs, gave VW a 367% bump. Despite being one of our favorite of this season, Chevy's graduation gift only boosted activity by 137%.
Following up on the first quarter numbers, Silverado only increased 6% after the Ford-jabbing ad, while Audi's S7 is still up by 306%. Genesis and Veloster are also still trending high with 138% and 189% continued activity increase.

Thats crazy! The Acura NSX stole the Detroit Auto show, and their commercial had everyone laughing! How did it not make the near top at-least? Oh well, It was a Hit IMO.

You mean the Lexus ad called "Beast" not "Best"
Looks like it beat the Audi ad, which I predicted it would. the Audi ad just wasn't very good, and it missed it's target demo. I don't think it tried to target a demo!

I am glad the Silverado ad was a flop. Maybe Chevy will now air ads that are positive, instead of nasty.
