One of the first things everyone noticed about the 2013 Dodge Viper teaser SRT revealed last month was the new snake logo. And now it's got an official name: World, meet Stryker.
SRT says that this new logo was named at the 2010 Viper Owners Invitational in Salt Lake City, Utah. Viper owners were given many choices, but Stryker won out. Previous logos have been named "Sneaky Pete" and "Fangs." The actual design itself comes courtesy of Chrysler Designer Vince Galante who owns a Viper GTS. Galante wanted a "playful appearance" along with a "sinister look and 'evil grin' of the original."
"I never looked at images of the Thundercats while I was doing the new logo," said Galante, still in his 20s, "but after the fact, I realize that the new design has some elements of those graphics, but more intentionally has some lines that reflect the new Viper."
So now we've got the logo, only two more months until we see the complete car.

I think a 1992-2002 viper would be a badass long term car

At first glance, I read it as "Stryper" -- you know, like the God-loving, hair band:
