The title here pretty much says it all. If you read that and clicked the link before you finished mispronouncing "Panigale" you know what you're in for.
If you're still on the fence, here's more: Yas Marina Circuit is best known as the home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It's nearly three-and-a-half miles long and has 21 turns. Troy Bayliss is a retired Australian Superbike champ and one of the winningest riders in history.
The Ducati 1199 Panigale is the final piece of this puzzle: 1,199cc V-twin with desmodronic valvetrain, 195 horsepower, 361 pounds, $17,995. Though Bayliss is probably riding the $27,995 S Tricolore.

Apparently it was still pulling hard at the end of the (really) short straight... after 186 mph. That's F1 territory.
I guess the biggest news is that Ducati is finally stepping into the times with a modern engine design. Has maintenance on the Desmo valves gotten any easier? That was a PITA on my Duc Monster.
