Note, not actual cars used in films.
I love James Bond movies, but I hate spoilers. As such, I'll be spending the next year with my hands over my eyes yelling "la la la la" trying to block out the Internet and British tabloid reports/rumors/total crap streaming out about the next Bond film "Skyfall." I want to see the damn movie and maybe be surprised by one or two things, thank you.
Any way, The Sun tabloid caught pictures of an Aston Martin DB5 being used during filming in Scotland.
The article says that machine guns were spotted on the car, but didn't provide a photo to back it up. The photo does show that the DB5 in question is a right-hand-drive car (with the same "Goldfinger" license plate), unlike the left-drive DB5 Bond wins in a poker game during "Casino Royale." Not only did that set up 007's future use of the car, it also essentially explained why a civil servant could possibly own such an extraordinarily expensive car. Though I suppose in a world where James Bond was a real person, the DB5 wouldn't have been such an iconic car. Whatever, score this one as a potential continuity problem.
Sean Connery drove a gadget-laden DB5 in "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball." Several were used, one of which was recently auctioned off. Another DB5 was driven by Pierce Brosnan in "GoldenEye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies." There have been no reports of whether another new Aston Martin will be featured in the movie, and if I had my way, that's exactly the way it would stay until "Skyfall" comes out Nov. 9.

C'mon. If Miami Vice taught us anything, it is common for luxury cars, yachts, etc that are seized or perhaps won in a card game, to be used by undercover agents. Right? Of course, the undercover cops I know usually drive around in nondescript older model Caravans or Impalas, not Testarossas and Astons.

If the new Bond flick stars the Aston Martin DB5 and NOT Daniel Craig, then I'll go.
