With an average cost of $3.5 Million per, Hyundai will be spending approximately $17.5 Million on advertising during this year's Super Bowl. That works out to be the coast of, give or take, 1,165 2012 Hyundai Accents.
But none of these spots are for the Accent. Instead we've got Veloster Turbo, Genesis R-Spec, Elantra, Genesis Coupe R-Spec and a general Hyundai ad. The Veloster Turbo ad titled "Cheetah" is the best of them and the only one that may drive people to YouTube to watch it again.

well, some of it is pretty funny-- especially the cougar or whatever it is. I couldn't help thinking that they could have gotten a bigger laugh if the guy jumped into the cage at the end.
And, at least we have gotten confirmation that the Veloster Turbo is coming soon, along with the
Genesis coupe's 348 hp.
How does Hyundai do all this? Are they making any money or just throwing it all into development?

The Cheetah ad was the best one
The Rocky ad should be 30 seconds

@ed124c: Hyundai is a huge conglomerate, probably the most powerful in South Korea.

"Cougar"?
Oy vey.
And duck87 is right. Hyundai in South Korea is nearly as ubiquitous as traffic in L.A. Plus, their consumer auto wing is just one subset, which spans from ship building to electronics to finance.

Newsflash: Hyundai was broken up early this century. Hyundai-Kia Automotive group doesn't get a penny for advertising from Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, Hyundai Department Store Group, Hyundai Group/ Hyundai Merchant Marine, etc.

They need to get rid of their current voice over guy. He just wears on me.
The cheetah was entertaining.
