Let's get the boring one out of the way first. In 2013 all Corvettes will be available with a special 60th Anniversary package. This package includes a ZR1-style spoiler, special badges, gray brake calipers, Pearl Silver Blue stripes (optional), Arctic White paint, Blue Diamond leather interior (we're venturing into anniversary edition Trans-Am colors here) and, on the convertible, a blue top. Even if you don't opt for the 60th Anniversary package, all 2013 cars will feature special anniversary badging.
Now, onto the fun stuff. Sitting in Chevy's parts bin is the phenomenal 427 cubic-inch 7.0-liter, 505-horsepower V8. While Chevy has a history of dumping 427s into Vettes (1966 L30 and L72, LZ1 and L88 in 67, L89 in 69) unfortunately, this engine has never sat in a Corvette convertible. The 427-convertible package fixes that and adds a bunch of cool too.
Essentially, the 427 Convertible is a Z06 convertible. It's got Z06-style fenders (carbon fiber) the same carbon-fiber hood from the Z06 Carbon, carbon fiber floor panels, Magnetic ride control and the same Cup wheels that showed up on the 2012 Z06 and ZR1 wrapped in Michelin Pilot PS2 tires. Curb weight on this convertible is 3,355 pounds.
GM notes that this gives the 427 Convertible a better power:weight than the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabrio, the R8 5.2 spyder and the Ferrari California. 0 - 60 comes in around 3.8 seconds.
It is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Pricing has not been announced on either car, but the first Corvette 427 Convertible will be very, very expensive. On Jan 21, the first one will be sold at Barrett-Jackson to benefit the Drive to End Hunger food relief program.

Are those seats more supportive than the standard units? The bolsters at least look better than the old squishy Corvette seats I'm used to.

this is going to sound stupid but I like the '60' on the centercaps. Aside from that - I still like this car, one day I'll own a vette (or something vette powered) just to try a v8 vs a turbo 4

Remember how he told you you were an old man that basically relied upon your experience because old people like you basically can`t use the internet, something like that, you get the idea.
I mean, the guy is even worst at that than 1487 with big issues, so I see that poor guy banned outta here sooner or later.
