Rockford Fosgate, a marquee name in high performance car audio, is turning Vegas' Palms Casino Resort into the boom boom room over the next few days. In addition to showing off its latest aftermarket offerings, the company is demonstrating its next-generation ecoPunch factory-upgrade audio system in a Nissan Juke.
The concept audio system is designed as a plug-and-play upgrade that will include a wiring harness, Rockford Fosgate amplifier, and choice of subwoofers. The add-on components are designed to work around a vehicle's existing factory speakers.
Case in point: the 500-watt 5-channel amp (from the company's beefy Punch line) will feature on-board DSP to match factory speakers to the vehicle's acoustics and Rockford's signature Punch bass EQ. The system will also feature for the first time an OEM Punch Bass Controller for the add-on subwoofer, which will be available in dual 6-inch, as well as single 8- and 10-inch models.
