The Maybach brand never really took off for a number of reasons; value (not price mind you) and appearance were certainly the highest. It looked like a stretched S Class and cost as much as a house in the suburbs. It didn't own the road in the way a Rolls does and it didn't exude luxury in the way a Rolls or Bentley does.
Let's ignore that last one for a minute and instead focus on that whole road-owning facet of the super luxury sedan segment. This rendering from Autobild the S 600 Pullman -- a clear nod to the 1963 600 Pullman -- would fit right in with the big, bold faces of the others in this segment.
Unfortunately it's just a rendering. But hope is on the horizon as this 21-foot super-S class is set for production in 2013. If the rumors are to be believed, the S 600 Pullman will have rearward facing second-row seats and "more glory in the interior." More glory is more better.
Beyond that the Pullman will have the same range of motors as the rest of the S-Class lineup starting with a four-cylinder diesel (which doesn't sound very road-owning to us) and topping out at the AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12. Autobild is reporting that American, Chinese and Russian markets will get a V6 hybrid version as well.

If they fix the headlights and it has a rear facing 2nd row in addition to, a normal front facing 3rd row then that'd be fine...

The Maybachs have always been super beautiful cars, as have the S-Class. But: how many billionaires or multi-multi-millionaries are there in the world?
