Got an extra $235,000 sitting around? Looking for a vehicle that will accelerate from 0-60 in about 3.1 seconds? Do you want that vehicle to have seating for more than 4 and weigh a lot?

God news! Hennessey Performance Engineering has the vehicle for you, the 2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep.

"We've built a dozens of 600-800 hp Jeep SRT8s over the past five years, so we have an existing client base who will want to upgrade the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 to an even higher level. This vehicle is designed for the performance minded driver who lives in Aspen or Moscow and wants to be the fastest in all weather conditions." said John Hennessey in a statement.

For your $235,000 (!) you get a truck with 800 horsepower and 823 pound-feet of torque that does the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds at 130 mph. The Jeep also gets a lowered suspension, carbon fiber front splitter, HPE 20s, transmission and torque converter upgrades to handle the power and a Brembo brake system upgrade to handle the results of that power.

For comparison, the 500 horsepower 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will only run you $107,100. Track Tested: 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

Yes, because being fastest in snowy climes certainly is aided by a low riding front end with a nice splitter to scoop up all the snow (:rolleyes)

Nice photoshop of the Jeep into the snowy landscape shot.

Once again, buyer beware. If you are even remotely considering buying something from Hennessey, examine his sordid past closely.

Bet my 91 Legacy would beat it off the line on that road. Those tires would suck in the snow.

I really wish Inside Line would at least address the elephant in the room with Hennessey. He got an awful lot of free press and nobody seems willing to address or comment on his business practices or past dealings with customers.

You're better than that IL.

Perhaps someone at Edmunds is a friend of Hennessey's? Maybe they're not into the mud-slinging business. Either way, without substantiated proof I would hope a publication such as IL wouldn't attempt to defame a companies reputation solely because a couple people heard that he's had unhappy customers in the past.

Not every news outlet has to be Fox News.

C'mon, IL. A photoshopped, daydreamed vehicle... as much as I love tuners and hotted up cars, I'm with church123 and cjasis.

almost $170,000 for two turbos and a body/suspension kit??? yeah right
you could get a tuned cayenne turbo for less than this and itll be just as a fast and way more luxurious

Hennesey's pricing policy is really remarkable.
I'm thinking it goes something like this:

(drunk at a bar)

Hennesey: "So, what you think we should ask for the Jeep?"
Minion: " Well, the Jeep is $50K, we need a couple o turbos that we can take off a customer's car when it is in for an 'upgrade', get some shocks off ebay and Bobby will paint it, so I figure.. $150K?"
Hennesey: "$150K? How's that gonna make any press? Any chump can ask $150K for a Jeep"
Minion: " $200K?"
Hennesey: "$235K"
Minion: "You're the man, boss"

Does this Jeep retain AWD? Or is it now solely a RWD vehicle?

And if AWD, can either end handle all the power without shredding that portion of the drive train?

Hennesey's pricing is outrageous, but then there are people who drop $250k on a wrist watch to wear once. There are some people in the world were money just doesn't matter, and perhaps these are the people buying these things. Ya know, maybe you're driving around in the desert in you're chromed Veyron, feeling the need to pick up 4 friends to hang out the doors and shoot automatic guns, but you're just sick of all the Porsche Cayennes everybody has.
