2012 Detroit Auto Show: 2013 Buick Encore Teased

buick-encore-tease.jpg

This is the 2013 Buick Encore, or at least part of it. It's the next addition to the Buick lineup and we'll get to see the whole thing next month at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

It's basically a compact SUV that will slot under the Enclave. No word on which engine it will use, but we're guessing it will be some kind of four-cylinder.

Posting here. and it's gonna be the only post here.
GM can go ahead and remove Buick from the N/A lineup.

I hope it is significantly differentiated from Chevy and GMC models and GM doesn't revert back to its old badge engineering ways.

Doesn't Chrysler have the rights to the Encore name? Remember the Renault Encore from the mid 80s which was part of the Renault/Jeep/Eagle when they bought AMC?

omg it's going to be a rebadged Opel Antara, just like the Saturn Vue. Can you not see it?

Was wondering the same thing. And even if GM did acquire rights to the Encore name, you'd have to wonder why they'd want to use it considering the atrocity that used that very name back in the 80's. Guess GM is banking on their customers having awfully short memories.

Oh boy. Another GM SUV clone. That should round out the EquiTerraSRX family.
