2011 Tokyo Auto Show: 2013 Subaru BRZ Revealed

subaru-brz-show-f34-1.jpg

Have you heard enough about the Subaru BRZ yet? No? Good, 'cause we packed into the Subaru press conference today in Tokyo for the first "official" look at the new sport coupe.

There were no real surprises here. We've told you all about this car before, so this was just an opportunity to see the car in all its WR Blue Pearl II glory. It's actually quite sharp in person and the proportions all look dead on. Interior looks pretty solid, too. Not much more to say about it until we actually drive it. That comes later this week, stay tuned.

looks much better than the one this morning in white, at least feels there is some difference between this and 86

The one shown earlyer today had orange indicators and and small changes in the tail lights from the 86. wondering if those are options on both?

though both cars look great I do wish Toyota could end their infatuation with having the front and tail lights jut out further than the body.

Where the heck is the radiator? It must be way the heck up there.

Overall, I think it's a nice looking car -- Subaru shouldn't have a problem selling all of the ones they make.

Hahaha, all that time for this?

To look almost exactly like the Toyota offering?

Toyobaru, welcome to the world!

Oh wait, its a Scionbarutoyo. LOL

Head forward seating....great. Who needs to get into an accident to wreck your neck when the safety headrest will do it for you?

So will you guys actually be driving it this time, or are you just going to buy another article from Autocar?

It's funny how people are finding all of these little things to complain about with this car. Seats too wide? Tailights not to your liking? Change 'em! The real question is whether or not it lives up to all of the hype about the handling. If it drives like everyone says it does, I won't care about some of the minor problems. I want this car!

LOLz, not even AWD version??? This, my friends, is the most direct definition of "re-badged Toyota" phrase :-P

@cardrvr, its impossible to have an AWD version because the boxer engine was pushed down and backwards right between the front axle-line. No room for drive shafts = no AWD version.
