Subaru formally unveiled the BRZ Concept STI, a near-production-ready version of its new rear-wheel-drive, boxer-engined sport coupe, here at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Find out why Alistair is our very own David Attenborough of the automotive kingdom after the jump.

Are the doors welded shut? Why can't we see the interior?
Even if it isn't the "production" interior, it will still give us a sense of size and how it looks.
And then we might see how much space there is behind the front seats. I don't imagine, even if there are seats in the back, that there would be much room for actual humans.* But some decent storage room for a couple's weekend getaway would be nice.
*But you never know-- the RX-8 has/had rear seats that fit actual adult humans.

You can really get a sense of how small it is in that last shot. I would love to see it parked next to the new Mustangs, or even a WRX.
@ed124c, the rear seats fold down so there should be plenty of storage. In the leaked brochures they show it holding 2 golf bags or 4 wheels.

I had to Google who David Attenborough is. Heh.
spaceywilly, check out the image at the URL below. You may thank your friends at NASIOC.com (North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club) for this.

This is likely a foam model sitting on a metal platform with wheels and exhaust tips attached. Usually the case when you see a concept car with "full tint" on the windows. They are really neat though, look like real cars, probably only weight 500lbs in all.

Holy moly, that thing is tiny! Can't wait to test drive one.
