We could do a feature a day on the crazy things we read in press releases. When we get 90 emails before you wake up, you're bound to read something so over the top it's funny sooner or later. It's best to just ignore them.
The press release for the new Buick LaCrosse GL, the new luxury version of the LaCrosse headed for the LA Auto Show, had a line I just couldn't ignore. "“The LaCrosse GL concept expresses Buick’s distinctly human kind of luxury..."
Huh?
Buick's executive director of design continued, "...one that is as warmly inviting as it is elegant and refined. The design cues that already distinguish the production LaCrosse -- such as the premium leather-upholstered seats, ice blue ambient lighting and soft touch surfaces -- are amplified in the GL and serve as inspiration for future Buick models." Fair enough.
We're not going to pretend for a second that this LaCrosse with the Regal GS's 20s and slick interior-- featuring suede headline and steering wheel-- doesn't look sharp (especially those seats), but the "distinctly human kind of a luxury" is still seriously distracting.

Why would you want such a cold color temperature for ambient lighting? Warm colors are pleasing and relaxing at night, this seems like a poor choice to me. Especially when "luxury" and not "trendy" is the mission.

Wow that is an amazing interior, and I LOVE those wheels on the Lacrosse too! Seats look awesome as does the stitching all over the place, very luxurious!

i think these wheels may be one of the best released in the last few years, that and the 370z's... drool.
as far as the interior, i like it now. But when this car reaches ten years of age with normal wear and tear, it will look soo bad and just be a joke
