looks good from the side, front is like the cts pudgy cousin, and the back is good except for the stubby decklid. Overall, not bad. Image doesn't matter so much for the target demographic, just needs to look like a caddy.

I don't think that even GM knows the "target demographics" for this thing... Theoretically it should be a "physical assistance device for geriatric patients", just like previous DTS and STS models always were, BUT! But Cadillac will be "testing out" the new infotainment system called "CUE", with customizable digital speedometer/tachometer views and fancy animations, starting with this model, not to mention Cadillac's own webpage states that this model will have "standard Brembo® brakes"...

Wow I love the informed comments here because people here have actually driven this car and know it is sloppy and just for old people. You can tell I guess by the brembo brakes, hyper strut suspension, and the magnetic shocks it is just not the racing machine the A8, S Class and 7 Series are. I mean 18 year olds buy cars in that class and Cadillac well what are they aiming for? Do they know? Please people.

When I initially saw that first pic at the top I thought it was an SUV! This thing looks massive. I don't think it's going to stir any enthusiasts with front wheel drive, a ho-hum V6 and a curb weight probably comfortably north of the already-porky CTS.
As for the Brembos, seniors do have a tendency to ride the brakes, so the added heat capacity will help keep the inevitable fade at bay.

Cadillac's current design language has grown stale for me. This thing looks like a bloated CTS. I'm disappointed.

I think the STS was a more beautiful car. It had better proportions and was built on a true rear wheel drive platform. When I see one on the road I think the lines and styling still look sharp and graceful, even though it is not a new design. I would have been content to see the STS remain on the market until a new world-class flagship could be developed, but that is just my opinion.
