Looks quite aggresive, what`s the premium?

I like it, but not a serious step up from the GS with the V8, IMHO.

Looks like a Camry with a hideous bunch of mangled plastic on the front. I do like the wheels though. But this car screams "Pontiac Grand Am GT" with all the go-fast appearance crap on it.

Yeah, because the same thing can be said to the BMW 3er/5er M-sport package... Both the F-sport and M-sport packages offer actual performance upgrade and they are meant to umm... go fast.

Every brand offers their sporty versions. What I meant was that this looks completely juvenile and amateurish. The front end is a huge piece of grotesquely nightmarish molded plastic. Nowhere close to anything that you would expect from the cars you mentioned.

Nice looking car except a front end that looks like something out of a science fiction movie. Way too many angles.

You have your opinion and I respect that but lets not forget that beauty is the eye of the beholder.

Personally I like the aggressive and unique look but I really care more about how the new GS stack up against others in the class. We all know that this is a major improvement in terms of performance over the current model but as we all know, that's really not exactly a tall order... Can't wait for the upcoming midsize luxury sedan comparo!

Are those brake ducts or photon torpedo launchers? This is what happens when you cross a Romulan Warbird with a Lexus.. and I sorta like it. The previous GS was so anonymous it was the perfect car for the stalker who likes luxury. Plush and invisible.

Good looking car. I have a little trouble with the overwrought front bumper, but otherwise a nice looking piece inside and out. Hopefully Lexus is this serious about the next IS as well.

I'm not a fan of Lexus cars (except the LFA) but I like the styling of this car. The interior in particular looks as good as anything Audi has currently. If this car is as good a driver as the prototype drives indicate, Lexus may finally have a car that can run with the Germans and CTS from a dynamic handling stand point.

I hope people here realize that this car will be slower than its own predecessor the GS460. On top of that it is in no way even comparable to what the Europeans like BMW M or Mercedes AMG do. What's the point then?

Yep, the red interior, plastic front clip and staggered wheels will make it "um...go fast". Nice to see that this performance car has the "eco" mode option, because that screams performance.

There is no question Lexus makes a quality luxury car and can infuse their line with performance. Lexus was making some headway with the "F" designation being recognized as a high performance line to compete with the BMW M, Mercedes AMG, and Cadillac V lines. However, this will dilute the "F" model designation by being more "show" than "go" compared to the standard version of the model.

At least the GM had the decency to up the horsepower (even if it was only by 5-35hp) over the non-GT models during the last run of the Grand AM GT.

I love how it looks, well, boring from three angles, and aggressive (in a bad way) from the front. Looks like the car's granny pinched it's mouth. Just not attractive.

Yet the Lexus fanboys love it. But you can bet this won't be poaching BMW/Audi/MB drivers any time soon.

This is not the GS F, this is the GS F-sport, if that's too confusing then think of it just the GS with sports package. Still not getting it? Okay... you know there is the regular 5er right? And you also know there is a sports package availabe for the 5er right? Ok, then the regular 5er = regular GS, 5er with sport/M-sport = GS F-sport. Get it? Still no? God bless you...

Because this is not the GS F, which part of that do you not understand? Do you even capable of understand the concept? Look at the current IS line, there is the IS F and there is the IS with F-sport package. This is the GS F-sport, not the GS F.

Another one who doesn't the understand the concept of this is the F-sport, not the F... Does a 5er with M-sport make it a M5? Does an A6 with S-Line package make it a S6? Hello?!

People are SO DAMN IGNORANT!

- The F-Sport package is meant to add much higher dynamic capabilities to the GS that the base model nor past GS350/460's couldn't offer.

- The actual F designation will still go to Lexus' all out high performance sedans.

- Other sport/luxury cars in this segment offer similar power. The 535i, E 350, CTS DI, A6 all offer something in the 300+ range and offer sport packages.

- Although the 3.5 is a carryover it's still one of the top performers in it's class as it's super refined, reliable, efficient, powerful and has plenty of room for a power increase.

- In regards to styling, I do think the front bumper is a bit overstyled butinstill like it as it really adds aggression to the front end.

- The LF-A and IS-F are just the start of Lexus performance and the new GS is only the 2nd Lexus to be developed from the ground up (behind the LF-A) to have high performance credentials. The IS-F was conceived after the IS came to the market.

other than the f'd up front end it's pretty beefy looking both inside and out

I was slow, maybe you missed the first three of my posts.

Then there came the bashers bashing the car based on incorrect information. My point was... if you want to critic a car or even bash a car, that's fine, it's your opinion, but please don't preach it like gospel when you don't even UNDERSTAND about the car.

Like I said in my third post, I respect other opinions and I understand not everyone is going to appreciate the aggresive styling, what I can't stand is to bash a car just because of the brand.

I had terrible experiences with British cars in the past (Jags and Range rovers).
Almost spent more money to fix the damn cars then actual cost of the cars.
I am not going to buy anything from Jaguars and Range Rover. Hell I am not going to buy any cars that are manufactured in England.

With my limited experience with Lexus (only have drove RX350, ES350 and IS350), I wouldn't consider Lexus to be my next car.

Am I brand-biased? Hell Yeah I am.

You would think it would be pretty damn obvious that the GS F Sport is not the GS F, and that this car is clearly intended to slot against the 5-Series Sport/M Sport, E-Class Sport and A6 S-Line. I guess not.

Because brands can and do change. Cadillacs aren't all floaty barges anymore and Hyundais aren't cheap, poorly made econoboxes anymore. Bashing a car simply based on the brand is ridiculous. Read up on it and maybe even drive it first and then your opinion will have value.
