This game, Need for Speed: The Run, is why you won't get to drive Porsches in Forza. Let's let the description take it from here:
Who wouldn't want to drive this year's most highly anticipated car? The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S has been officially unveiled and Need for Speed The Run is giving you exclusive access. Experience the raw power and pinpoint handling that 500 horsepower and 800 lbs of torque have to offer as you fly past rivals and slip past obstacles on your way to New York.
500 Horsepower? 800 pounds of torque? Thats close to the car's disclosed power rating of 394 horsepower. Fans of racing sims rarely notice that kind of stuff, though.

"pinpoint handling" in other words not having to touch the brakes going into a turn from top speed because the physics aren't any more accurate than a Tron era video game.
That such a half-baked game has exclusive rights to one of the most important brands is a travesty.

Definitely with you on that one.
Racing sims like Grand Turismo and Forza should get priority especially since the people who enjoy those type of games are closer to those manufacturers' target audience.

It's the EA way; if you can't beat the competition, just buy them out.

There will be more kids lusting for Porsches after this than an actual racing sim. Personally I own GT5, Forza and the NFS series... different games for different moods of how much effort/realism I'm desiring. Real enthusiasts won't be fooled at all by this game and likely already have their opinion of Porsche pretty much set in stone.

While I find myself firing up Madden '12 almost daily, I hope the NFL comes to its senses and doesn't give EA Sports exclusivity rights to the license again. I miss the awesomeness of NFL 2K.

EA, I hate you. I thought you guys were getting better and letting Activision take the crown of biggest jerkoff publisher from you, but I see you're not going down without a fight.
