2011 Frankfurt Auto Show Video: Kia GT Concept

Frankfurt Kia GT.jpg

Another auto show, another big reveal for Kia. This time, however, it's not a radical transformation of some previous humble, who-cares model. This time it's a sharp-looking coupe-ish sedan concept. Follow the jump for video on this possible glimpse into Kia's future.

Teaser: "No one's laughing now."

"No one's laughing now."

I sure am. Especially at the wheels.

It is beautiful. Maybe they should follow the Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infinity model and create a premium brand with a more English sounding name for products like this.

Love the Kaiser-like windshield!

As is typical of concept cars, some aspects of this Kia Gt are a bit over-the-top. Yet, overall, this is one sexy and sharp sedan. If it comes to production somewhat similar to this, it will be quite desireable.

I see that I'm in the minority here. But I think that this thing is a big mess.

greg, how more english sounding of a name than "GT" can a name be?

Also, love this whole package....love it.

The taillights recall the RX-7 FD. That's not a bad thing. The wheels are over the top, but not bad. The only thing I *dislike* are the Aston-Martin-One-77-esque wings around the headlights. They're a bit much.

I think the wheels are o.k. and the "wings" on the headlights are actually nicer than the Aston Martin's. The ideas are similar, but in the Aston Martin is more subdued and the headlight plastic is totally separate - the Kia looks more refined.
