Another auto show, another teaser of the Subaru/Toyota rear-wheel-drive sports car, which will be known in Subaru-land as the BRZ. Shown here as the "BRZ Prologue Boxer Sports Car Architecture II," the BRZ served mainly as filler on the Subaru stand.
Not much to add here other than the claim made by Fuji Heavy Industries boss Yasuyuki Yoshinaga that the BRZ will boast "the lowest center of gravity of any production car." That's a good start for a fine-handling car, but it's no guarantee.
We'll see the production BRZ at the Tokyo auto show later this year.

WTH, Subaru?! I had a feeling you were going to pull a stunt like this. How is this different from the crap you had at Geneva?! At least Toyota has shown cars (plural!) with sheet metal on them - FT-86 Concept I, FT-86 Concept II and FR-S Concept.
I am so glad I leased a 2011 GTI. My 2004 WRX and I don't approve of your actions.

I actually think Fiskers are more likely to go into real production than these cars.

subytrojan, I agree why wait to show the car? Also, are you going to change your name to gtisubytrojan?

Doubt I'll change my handle here. I still like the current STI hatchback. But my interest in Subaru keeps decreasing the more they make Toyotas with all-wheel drive.

subaru, quit wasting my time with this. if you're going to sell me on my next subaru (that's not a wrx), show me something other than a mechanical chassis. i already know your engineering is sound. however, i can rarely trust your design department (outside of the last-gen subaru legacy) to create something that looks good...
