Video: Turn 10 Designs the Perfect Track for Forza 4

 Forza 4 alps.jpg

The boys over at Turn 10 are serious about delivering the ultimate racing experience. So much so that they traveled to the Swiss Alps in order to render and design the ultimate race track.

And since they don't have to worry for a second about danger, safety or the logistics of building it, they could produce the coolest, fastest track possible. This is that story.

I can't wait for this to come out. I waited for the Ultimate Collect for FM3, but I might have to splurge on this one on release and just actually buy the cars as they come out.

FM3's fantasy tracks were a little disappointing, but this looks better.

I dunno, I thought Maple Valley and Fujimi Kaido were pretty cool. I think I just liked MV because of the environment, though, since the track itself wasn't all that special. So far FM4 is shaping up to be awesome, and we're only a few months out now. Absolutely cannot wait.

You're right, the environments are great but the tracks aren't. I love Amalfi Coast visually, but it is a pain in the butt to race on because it is a rally circuit. It belongs in Dirt 3, not Forza where you're sharing space with 7 other cars. MV is great, both the track and the visuals, but I can't stand Ladera. Small and boring, I see no use for it at all.

Maple valley is by far my favorite, revn. So fun in the prototypes or the C6R.

What's your best MV (full course) time in the C6R? I've been using the C6R in the R2 Championship and have it set up about right for my tastes. I'd like to see if I could compare to you.

Fujimi Kaido is absolutely insane!!!

I'm looking forward to FM4. Hopefully, they don't make it any harder to earn credits. GT5 is the worse in that regard.

I'll agree, Amalfi and Rally di Positano are a freakin pain for the exact reasons you mentioned, but wow are they pretty to look at. I usually just end up using them as backdrops for taking screenshots, heh.

Maple is usually where I take cars for a test drive before actually buying/racing them. It's just a really fun track. Not difficult by any means, and you can get going plenty fast, but it's just plain fun.

Maple Valley and Fujimi Kaido are good tracks, and this looks good too, but honestly none of their fantasy tracks are as good as the real ones and what I've always wanted more from Forza is more real tracks!!

I want more real tracks too. I assume there is some failure to reach a deal with NASCAR and ISC since the stock cars are all generic and the ovals except TRM are fantasy but there are glaring oversights elsewhere. Monza, Infineon, Mid-Ohio, Spa-Francorchamps, Paul Ricard, Interlagos, VIR, and WGI (but that can go along with the ovals in my ISC theory) all come to mind as deserving real-world tracks.

Fujimi Kaido is an awesome course...I could race on that all day. Hell, I love all the tracks in FM3.

Can't wait for this game!!!!!!!!!!
