Bugatti (and Bentley) CEO Wolfgang Durheimer went on record with German car mag, Auto Motor und Sport, with some new information on the new four-door super car coming out of Bugatti. Now that the run of the Veyron is over, Bugatti is turning its attention to the Galibier a sedan "with much higher usable value than the Veyron" that seats four and has lots of cargo space. Bugatti expects to sell 1,000 - 1,500 of them-- compared with some 300 Veyrons-- at a price of more than 1 million euros. Figure that's about $1.5 million USD for an 800 horsepower supercharged W16 wrapped in carbon fiber, aluminum and the finest materials available anywhere. The only better way to pick the kids up from their private school in Beverly Hills would probably be the plug-in electric version which is estimated to travel some 25 miles in EV mode. The PHEV Galibier will be available at some point after the first run of gas powered hyper-sedans.

I'm sure this will be an amazing car, but if I was dropping 1.5 mil on a car, I certainly wouldn't want one that looks like Liberace got a hold of a Panamera.

Either all the exhaust tips are on one side, or that thing has 8 exhaust tips. All that chrome is going to blind everyone else on the road, geez.

V8 Hybrid....or bigger? Sounds like it could be a good idea if they kinda take a page from the Infiniti M Hybrid playbook, or even the Panamera Hybrid...I think making it a PHEV could ruin it....not a fan of the concept that a car this massive and ever be fully powered by electrons.

that has got to be the ugliest thing I have seen in years. The next closest would be the Pontiac Aztec.

The over-the-top looks are well suited to an over-the-top car. I would drive one.

Bugatti Crosstour - at least from the side.
What is it with these weird, curvy backed semi-wagons? Panamera, Crosstour, this thing - the shape just doesn't work for me. And from all accounts, it really compromises space vs. a true wagon.

At that price, it must be silver, not chrome.....
