Video: Mini Coupe Ad Promises 'Another Day. Another Adventure'

Mini Coupe Video.jpg

"With the right wingman, there's action around every corner. Say hello to your partner for everyday adventure into the unknown - the new MINI."

Or at least, so says the new video posted by to the Youtubes today. The new Mini Coupe is the less practical, more fun sibling to the already fun and relatively practical Mini Cooper. As always, it's good to see cars in motion....except this time I just keep watching it over and over again wondering what exactly I'm looking at and why.

The roofline looks like that of a post WWII Studebaker Coupe

Can the roof-mounted spoiler be removed? It really looks tacked on and silly.

The roof attracts too much attention and the car looks like it is being crushed by a large football helmet. Why would Mini do this? There is no attempt at creating an open and airy feeling. Which a coupe usually does.

Is there a sunroof or a glass roof option?

the guy in the picture looks like the "hey little kid, you want some candy?" type.

I don't know that the site needed a 4th article on it, but lets keep em coming. It doesn't make it any more practical or any less ugly

Another day, another bruise on the side of my head. That door opening looks so small!

If you have a head like Tony Shalhoub after being shot in "Men In Black" then this is the perfect car for you.

It kinda reminds me of the optional hard top on the original Viper.

There is something wrong with the roof on that car.
