There is something seriously disappointing about this Dodge-provided spy shot of the 2013 Dodge Viper. And that's really saying something, "Dodge Viper on a groomed snow track" is probably on every car-guy's bucket list.
The most obvious fail here is that this is just a 2010 Viper. It's not hiding anything and it's not running some super engine. Yawn. We've got better views of that gen car. The next thing that breaks our hearts just a little is that this 2010 has been retrofitted with the 2013 Dodge Viper's stability control system. Stability control, of course, is mandatory on all vehicles as of 2012 (because certainly we'll all die without it) and the2013 Viper, being a production vehicle, will have to comply.
Nothing new here. Whatever, still looks fun.

so based on testing a new stability control system, you think the entire vehicle isn't going to change? How much sense does that make?

They make buttons to turn it off. Live with it.

Will the driving public be allowed to disable stability control?

While I don't like the idea of mandatory stability control (I think we should embrace Darwin), with the heinous power modern cars are throwing down, and America's seeming hatred of proper driver training, it does seem useful. Just this morning, I saw a guy who had a full frontal impact with his like 80hp toyata (an 80's era) and a brick wall on the side of street with a 30 mph speed limit. Imagine what that clown could have done with a 430+ hp car and no stability control.

@lostboyz: He's not saying that. What Mike is saying is this photo is merely one of a test mule derived from the current Viper, with stability control added. The shot doesn't tell us anything about the 2013 Viper other than what we already knew: a) there will be one and; b) it will have stability control.

@actualsize, I was referring to "The most obvious fail here is that this is just a 2010 Viper. It's not hiding anything and it's not running some super engine. Yawn."
You usually don't use the word fail unless you are imlpying someone failed at something.
