Even if you're not a big fan of the LFA's purposeful (yet hardly graceful) exterior, the interior is absoutely gorgeous. Alcantara and carbon fiber abound everywhere.
Check it out:
The cabin is as well designed and nearly as exotic looking as any Ferrari or Lamborghini, and the workmanship is generally excellent, other than the plastic, satin-look center console that was creaking a bit; but our banzai run up GMR seemed to fix that. Keep in mind, this car is very stiff.
Those three-piece seats look cool and are pretty comfortable and supportive, while the Alcantara covering holds you in place, unlike leather.
Bottom-hinged brake and accelerator pedals are ultra-racy; even the interior door handles are special.
Pretty much what isn't carbon fiber is Alcantara. If I could, I would sleep in a bed of Alcantara. But that's just me.
Not a huge fan of the leather/carbon-fiber steering wheel, because it's weird to switch surfaces while shuffle steering (see LFA vs. GMR video).
Interior cubbies are near non-existent, and there aren't any cupholders, but the LFA is such an awesome driving machine that it seems silly to complain about such.

So what's going on between the bottom seat bolster and the door?

checked out the car when they were in Vegas. nice interior but inexcusable to not have cupholders. "Big pimpin' in my LFA is hard and makes me thirsty but oh crap, I don't have any place to put my drink. Oh hell!"
I can hear the responses now. Blah blah blah it's a purpose built race car and that's why they don't have cupholders. Racecars usually don't have navigation, electronically adjustable seats and heated seats either but the LFA does. At 375K I want a place to put my drink.

at $375k, nobody should be allowed to drink inside of it, makes sense to not have cupholders.

the interior looks like it was designed by committee. Gorgeous? Hardly. It's a Lexus spin on a bare bones, race ready Ferrari interior. Don't like them in the Ferraris, don't like it here.

That is where the powerseat switches shaped like the seat are located.

Yes, and it took me a while to figure out how to get the seat adjusted.

I experienced the same thing. And you don't just go from leather to carbon fiber. You go to leather to carbon fiber to air. The flat bottom is cut pretty short and leaves a big gap of nothing.
See the triangular switch on the left side of the IP? That's reverse, I think. Because why wouldn't it be over there?
Remember the Pixar short where the alien is attempting to pass an operator's test for the flying saucer, and is totally defeated by a huge table solidly filled with unlabeled switches? That's exactly how I felt trying to figure out the LFA's controls.

The red looks tacky...overdone color combo, IMHO, red with black. So '90ies boxster/SLK.
