It was bound to happen sooner or later. When you build something as iconic as the McLaren F1, something that defines what your company is and what it's capable of, it's only a matter of time before someone compares any new offering to that seminal work.
And it was Autocar who found both sets of keys first and provided the interwebs with this video. It's not a conclusive, exhaustive test by any means, but there is a McLaren F1 GTR -- which the host needs headphones in.
So, budget's no issue: race-ready F1 GTR or road-ready MP4-12C?

EDIT: Here's Tiff comparing an Enzo and the McLaren F1 GTR -- owned by Chris Palmer -- from a few years back. Thanks for reminding me this existed.

So you're telling me these guys got a hold of these two marvels in automotive engineering, a true driver's wet dream, and they could only put together a video less than 4 minutes in length? I sure hope there's more to come, because if not that's pathetic. This should be at least a 15 minute segment IMHO.

Whoever owns that Orange F1-GTR is a really good sport. It seems to show up in all kinds of automotive magazines and shows. It looks like the same car that Tiff used in the Enzo vs F1-GTR segment he did a few years-back.

I think this was the worst car review ever made. To me it felt like there were testing a Toyota Prius.
