2011 Geneva Auto Show: Double-Bubble Fiat 500 Coupe by Zagato

 Fiat 500 zagato 1

Fiat surprised the show floor when it took the wraps off of its 500 Coupe by Zagato at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. The "just a prototype" features 17-inch chrome shadow wheels, burnished chrome trim, and Zagato signature double-bubble roof and special side glass.

The prototype is aimed at young, dynamic males, but the "Pop yellow" is aimed to lure in the ladies, too. Power comes by way of a 105-horsepower TwinAir I4.

So that's what you meant by double-bubble .

I find those mounds inspirational.

Also known as the Twin Peek edition.

Definitely not inspired by the female form then.........

If I was wealthy enough to be in Geneva now I certainly know where I'd go to start another mid-life crisis.

I think that the best Fiat 500 version is still yet to come! here's my suggestion: roll-bars and dropping the back seats!

so are the models supposed to look bored and disinterested? I'm guessing that is on purpose but here's an idea: put them all in one area to be gawked at so they quit blocking the view of the cars.

Small, light (by modern standards), sporty design, modest power, good fuel efficiency and (presumably) decent handling. Sounds like an Italian CRX to me. A much more interesting commuter car than the Four-Two.

What's the Italian word for mamma mia?

Fiat must have gotten tired of having their cars called p---- substitutes.

Also known as the Twin Peak edition.

Seriously IL, these posts prove for once and for all we just can't handle photos of models.
