Even if I accept theroy need a subcompact (which I don't) WHY would they pick that one to rebadge?
Astons are all about style and driving passion and Toyotas are the opposite.
Why rebadge at all? If they must have a small car, use the Lotus Elise platform and build a hot hatch body for it.
People should dream of owning an Aston Martin. No one would even want to own this.

Such a shame that Aston Martin would put themselves through such indignity just to sell cars. TMK; I don't know of any other exotics that rebadge econoboxes.....

I can just imagine the whinning the Brits would be doing if Ford tried this nonsense. The least AM could do is design their own body.

Do you think they're just trolling us? Does anybody else think it could be too bad to be a real effort, like they're saying, "Here, EU, here's a subcompact. I made it in seven seconds. See if anyone buys it."

I had somehow forgotten about this rolling travesty. I'm a little mad at Ed for reminding me.

James Bond would never drive one. And after all, all Astons really should be designed with Bond in mind.

That might be the best response I've seen all day.

Won't say much about the Cygnet other than it seems every automaker has to have a small car. And, it would be hard to give something that small anything much in the way of traditional Aston Martin style. Really love the Classic Ason Martin! (Admittedly, I don't know the year or model designation.)

I was thinking stupid, but sad works too.

Paris Hilton, or some other dipsh*t will be driving one of these.
Why Aston Martin would pick this rebadged Recall Motors death trap, is beyond me.

The whole point if this car is to help offset their emmisions for the eu. They chose the ia because it is cheap as bricks to manufacture. Also a side note you can't buy this unless you buy another real aaron martin with it. Its basicly aston martin flippin the bird to the eu

Forgive my phone from spell correcting aston martin with aaron martin
