By now we know pretty much all we'll know on the Alfa 4C. We know that the 4C's designer, Lorenzo Ramaciotti (now Fiat's design head), designed the Ethos for Pininfarina in the early 90s and that that car inspired the Lotus Elise. We know it's got a carbon-fiber tub*, weighs some 1,875 lbs, has a 1,775cc direct-injection motor producing "over 200 horsepower," a twin-clutch transmission and could cost as little as $55 - $62,000.
*More on this: The chassis developed with Italian racecar builder, Dallara Automobili. The structure is related to the KTM X-Bow, but has a different structure which includes the addition of doors and a roof.
So we know all of that. Here's a gallery from the show floor.

I like it, and love those Alfa wheels. The price is high, but I appreciate the lightness.

That has to be one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. The matte finish is stunning in that color!

I like the styling, however, do the taillights remind anyone of a New Beetle with flower tailights?

Looks better with gloss paint. Still gorgeous, though.

These photos tell me that even the mighty Edmunds can't leap the plexiglass fence to take a few interior photos.
55-62k encompasses a lot of well-established sports cars. Is Alfa going to sell these in the US? It will sell well if it is sitting next to the dorky little Fiat 500. (They had one at the Auto Show I went to last night, but I couldn't get near it-- too many people climbing in and out and all over it. I can't understand that.)
200+ hp and 1875 lbs sounds like great fun, but I can't afford it. I am really crossing my fingers about the FT-86, but I sat in a Miata in the show last night, and I was realy impressed by the slick shifter, interior quality and the also slick silver-gray paint. It was a MHPR, or whatever they call the folding hardtop model, so I assume it was close to 30K-- still half the price of the Alfa, with 75% of the fun (your fun may vary).

Anytime I see cc used for engine size, I think motorcycles.
Metric Rant:
The U.S. doesn't use the metric system. We use pounds, not kilograms, miles, not kilometers, gallons, not liters. So why do we use liters instead of cubic inches?

^^For displacement we converted to metric in the 80's, when American cars fell down, and their iconic displacements became irrelevant. Enthusiasts were stuck talking metric of the imports.

Because the rest of the world is metric and the automakers can't be bothered with two system just for one county... just my guess.

Looks like Ferrari 599 and GT-R had a baby that was prettier than both parents!
