Tokyo Auto Salon: Nissan Leaf Aero Style Concept Experiments With Drag

 P1300041.JPG

The Nissan Leaf electric car has a range of somewhere between 70 and 100 miles depending on, you know, everything. That's not a lot and can cause, as GM loves to put it, range anxiety. Now, Nissan could go a couple of ways to get more range: better batteries, or they could, as they have with this concept, attempt to reduce drag thus making better use of existing juice.

Special wheels and a low-low-low body kit highlight this Leaf from the Tokyo Auto Salon.

I think it looks better. They should build all the Leaves like that (or is it Leafs?).

You wouldn't be able to drive that car anywhere without scraping.

You'd need to add lifting suspension to the front of it to compensate for the low noise. That'd get you over high points. But, of course, that'd add weight.
