2011 Bentley Continental GT: Styling Refresh Explained

 OldNew_01.jpg

To the casual observer, the latest Bentley Continental GT isn't all that different from the previous model. The changes are indeed subtle, but seeing it in the metal at the Detroit Auto Show proved they were worthwhile. So here's a quick guide showing some of the changes.

The headlights might be the easiest way to tell the difference between a 2011 Continental GT and its predecessor.

Less obvious cues can be found on the front of the car.

I like these kinds of design refinements on a car like the Continental that really didn't need any to begin with.

Not a fan of the 6-series "bustle butt"

Doesn't a design change like this infuriate the current owners? A Bentley's design should not be done whimsically. The design should endure. Or does that only apply to the Rolls?

Can't say that i follow you there...
I'm sure this was thought out for a long time, and a lot of effort was put into this elegant update of a great looking car. It wasn't broke, they didn't try to fix it. They just polished it up and updated it. How is the design not enduring? This new model has less changes than a 911 refresh.
