Those temporary no parking signs aren't jokes and this team didn't have any interest in waiting for the owner of this pretty sweet BMW wagon or a tow truck to take care of business.
On the one hand: it's good to see people taking matters into their own hands. On the other hand: Vigilante parking justice probably won't end well.
On the third hand: I want a forklift.

I remember a few years back seeing a fire truck push a nice Mercedes out of the way with his bumper. The car was parked in front of the hydrant and they needed it moved now.
I thought it was great.

Yikes, the guy probably deserved that for parking there. But that construction company should be held responsible for any damages to the car for moving it that way. At least it looks like they attempted to be careful.

The driver of that forklift is my hero

"But that construction company should be held responsible for any damages to the car for moving it that way"
If he tried that, I think the construction company should bill the owner of the car for cost of any delays to their schedule. I'd even bill him for the use of the forklift.
I'm sure the owner could read, he just chose to ignore the sign.

For all we know it could have been an honest mistake. I don't think that justifies potentially damaging someone's property.

I would pay good money if that could be my job.

I bet that car was pushing the forklift to its upper weight limit.

"For all we know it could have been an honest mistake."
Newton said it best, for every action there is a reaction. It doesn't matter if it is an honest mistake or on purpose the outcome is often the same. From "I didn't mean to look down at my phone while driving by the kid on the bike" to "I was in a hurry and didn't see the no parking signs".
Guess what, next time I'm sure he will see the signs.
I think that result is much better than the "Stop the world, some moron parked where he shouldn't have" Lets burn through more than that car costs having everyone stand around and wait for it to be carefully moved. I made a mistake but that's okay, everyone else will deal with it.

Very little chance he didn't see the sign or made a mistake. Like so many people he likely couldn't find a spot and figured he would just parked where ever he wanted.
If he didn't want his car damaged he should be more responsible with it.

The use of the forklift was irresponsible. This is exactly what tow trucks are for. Also, tow truck companies are held responsible for damages.
I don't care if it's a BMW or a Yugo. Two wrongs, don't make a right.

Just like the fed-up flight attendant that opened the R1 door on that Jet Blue flight, people love to cheer on vigilante justice. That doesn't make it right, nor responsible as brn said.
"Very little chance he didn't see the sign or made a mistake."
I'm not sure how you can even make that assumption. You can't even see any signs in the video, what if it fell over? What if they weren't clear? Here in CA the temporary no parking signs often have times and dates written in permanent marker. They may allow parking there during non-work hours. What if the driver had a medical emergency and couldn't get back to his car to move it in time? Who the hell knows why it was there. I don't know how you could make a definitive judgment with so little information available.

Even if the driver crapped himself and had to run somewhere to change his pants, who cares? it's all just speculation. the one thing we don't have to speculate about is that they wouldn't have moved the car if the car wasn't parked there illegally.
I think everyone will learn a little something from this: don't park somewhere you shouldn't when there's a guy with a forklift around, and make sure you don't leave a scratch when you use a forklift to move an illegally parked car.

Incidentally, this occurred in Taiwan, as indicated by Jalopnik.

Those white 'bags' are usually full of material like sand. The weight of one of those bags falling would crush the car and any occupants. If they were starting to fall, that car would be demolished and I'm not sure the owner would be compensated for parking where it's not allowed.
My favorite was seeing a Toronto police officer demand a transport driver to keep going, despite the fact the truck had started to slide in the snow towards a row of vehicles parked illegally on that side of the street. He ended up sideswiping everyone of them and then went on his merry way while the police officer was writing up tickets.
