As we've already seen, the 2013 Ford Fusion and 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid will be running on a new world-car platform-- EUCD-- to be shared by the Mondeo. And now we finally have visual confirmation that Ford will continue to sell its hybrid version of the Fusion-- as if there was any doubt.
And while we don't have any specifics, there's sure to be a new Ecoboost motor and a dual-clutch transmission. Photo comparison of the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid engine bays after the jump.

And how do you know this?

that looks better? It looks like they upsized the front of the Fiesta...

This is a current-generation Ford Mondeo.. I'm doubtful the next-gen Fusion will look like this, even if it's heavily based on it.

I think the current Fusion is a great looking car...much better then the Mondeo on which the 2013 appears to be based. I hope I'm wrong.

The greenhouse looks less bulky with the addition of the triangular window aft of the rear door. Yes, it is highly derivative of other cars, but it does seem that it would provide better rear visibility.
Assuming, of course, that this is what the car will look like.
The 3 bar chrome grill appears to be gone, but only Ford knows-- for now.

Re-enter Ford Contour/Mondeo... I just hope we get an ST version when it comes around.

Isn't that just a test mule body for the hybrid powertrain? I wouldn't mind if it wasn't, its a good looking vehicle.

@konocar400h Yes this is nothing more than a Ford Mondeo hybrid test mule. I suspect a mild refresh for the current Fusion Hybrid body.

Did anyone catch the louvers in front of the radiator on 2013 fusion? My guess is that they automatically open and close to improve efficiency in cooler climates, and possibly aerodynamics too.

It's bothering me to no end... why is part if the intake manifold disconnected and where does it lead to?
lostboyz says:

yup looks like it has active air flow management up front, and looks like it has some kind of dual intake that leads to the airbox
dave_in_mi says:

@lostboyz: the connected one is "dirty" air in, the disconnected one is "clean" air out to the engine.
