It appeared, got a good number of responses, then IL never posted the winning caption. But they're on their second following caption contest since then.

I completely believe that IL hopes it gets forgotten, as there were a number of "priest-as-pedophile" comments for that photo. It's both insulting to the readers of IL as well as cowardly for them to not post winners for that caption contest. They, of course, don't want to get any more of the types of comments they got for it, but that's all a result of their lack of foresight when using the photo.

I was wrong and I apologize to IL. However, IL didn't seem to want to make it widely known, as I can't find it when searching under the Caption Contest category, which is where any sane person would expect to find it. You get the first post, then you get the next contest without the "winner" post linked to the category. That makes no sense. IL posts the winner, then there's no way to get to it? Why not?
