Sure, the big fancy stars at Top Gear got the world-exclusive first photo shoot on the upcoming Shelby SuperCars (SSC) Ultimate Aero II -- the rig conceived to take the top-speed record back from that bothersome Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. See above.
But did those guys reveal the inspiration -- nay, the muse -- current styling star Jason Castriota used in designing this new super-duper-ooper sports car? No sir, they did not.
Now it can be revealed. Behold, the 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne, holder of precisely no production car top-speed records.

Ha-ha-ha!!! That's funny. My grandfather had a Chevy from that era. Light Teal Green. Just think of the stylists that drew that up thinking it was the shiznit! :)

That's very interesting. The thing that I love about Jason Castriota is his stunning ability to make a vehicle that traces it's roots back to whatever company he's sketching for. He's constantly inspired by heritage and has a great capability in bringing it back to the 21st Century. Take the Maserati Birdcage for example? The Ferrari 599. All marvelous creations that embody their heritage.
