Tom Brady, New England Patriot quarterback and supermodel baby-daddy, was involved in a car accident early this morning. Brady ran a green light and collided with a mini van. Brady walked away unharmed-- to the dismay of many Jets fans-- and is at Pats training camp now. A passenger in the van was removed via the Jaws of Life and taken to the hospital.
The Audi involved, a 2009 S8, has a 450-horsepower V10 and, curiously, NJ tags. Tom is sponsored by Audi and is the Chair of the Best Buddies Challenge so the car is likely a press / PR vehicle and not, as some are wondering, a way for him to cheat MA taxes.

Jets fans aren't the only people who hate Tom Brady. I'm a Charger fan and hate him with a passion. My sympathies to the injured passenger of the other vehicle though.

Somewhere Bill Simmons is recovering from a heart attack while buying an Audi.

the occupants of the other vehicle (which must have run a red light), were Philip Rivers and Mark Sanchez. good news, their injuries won't hamper their (less than Brady) qb abilities.

Actually, exnevadan, you might want to check some QB stats from last season. Specifically, Rivers and Brady. :)

Ok; here's the part that caught my attention:
"Tom is sponsored by Audi and is the Chair of the Best Buddies Challenge so the car is likely a press / PR vehicle...."
So a guy that can buy an S8 with chump change gets one for free? Must be nice to have a hookup like that.

Running green lights is so dangerous these days.

Ran a green? Sounds almost accusatory.
Also, someone bang on Rivers. Not a big fan of the guy (or Brady) but Brady put up lower numbers with a much better cast of WRs last year.

Yeah.... they'll start putting up green-light cameras to prevent this from happening. But we know it's not about safety, but for the revenue.
