We're used to seeing spy shots from Death Valley and the Nurburgring. We're used to leaks and dribbles from dealers and accidental mass-emailing. But we're always tickled when something breaks from someone like Lund Industries. Lund, based in Wheeling Illinois, provides mounts, lights, gun racks, power sources, speakers, sirens and, well, everything else law enforcement and emergency services could need to properly equip a service vehicle. And so it comes as no real surprise that the spy video / walk around Lund has provided is of the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit. This new Dodge Charger cop car is the same thing we've seen before, but in a much better light.
In this video we can clearly see the 2011 Charger Pursuit's 18-inch wheels, cross-hair grill and, most importantly, the cool full-rear-width tail light. The wrap-around light assembly is a nod to the 69/70 ( Hardcore Dodge guys help me out ) Charger and closely resembles the one on the current Dodge Challenger.
Hopefully this will be the closest you get to inspecting one of these bad boys unless you wear a badge.

I think it's an improvement on the current version. I never liked the hiked up rear quarter.

Love that car. Wish they got a clearer view of the wheels, though--they're a new design. Love the taillights, too.
Now let's see the civilian version, Dodge!

Would you want 18's on a cop car? I suppose on the units that patrol the highway they would be OK. But for urban cars they are just an invitation to damaged wheels and sidewalls from potholes. I would think a 16" wheel would be more practical as well as far more cost effective.

This car is what the Charger should have been to begin with. Dodge is going back to its roots. I love the rear tail lamps with the lincese plate mounted into the rear bumper. Reminds me of the "Dukes of Hazzard" generation of chargers. HOT!
