The Stig Revealed (again): Some Say He's Ben Collins.

Ben Collins.jpg International man of mystery The Stig, has been revealed again, this time as British racecar driver Ben Collins. Again. Collins has always been in the running for the real Stig, but this time, according to The Daily Mail is confirmed by Collins' own company records. In 2003, his company, Collins Autosport, recorded a banner year thanks to "driving services provided for the BBC, mainly in the Top Gear programme."

Watch his show reel and you'll see more than a few Top Gear clips, without the white helmet of course, but of all of the "This guy's The Stig!" accusations, this one is the most likely. And also, thanks to his history of driving for the show's high performance sections (did you really think May, Clarkson and Hammond could do all of that?), has the easiest "I'm not him" alibi.

Collins is a racecar driver, test driver and movie stunt driver wheeling for movies like National Treasure Book of Secrets and Quantum of Solace.

So, Ben Collins: Yey or Nay?

I don't want to know. I just want to believe that he's some faceless nether being sent here to drive our cars into oblivion. Its better to think of him as being "other than human". Let the mystery live.
