Cosworth Building a Crate Motor for Nissan GT-R?

nissan_gt-r_gt1_blog.jpg

So it would appear.

GTRBlog of Australia suggests that a forthcoming, all-new VR38 crate motor (so a 3.8-liter V6, presumably with a turbo or three) for R35 Nissan GT-Rs would be built by none other than Cosworth, which has already built some racing engines for the GT-R.

It would be sold by the Godzilla tuner, GT-RR.

Awesome but I think the stock GT-R hits the apex of the diminishing returns - throwing more money at it won't give you any meaningful performance improvements, short of building an actual JGTC car.

I wonder if that engine will fit in a 510?

Dunno, but I bet an LSx will. With all of the power and turbo-free. And cheaper.
