BMW 1 Series M Coupe: Revealed...ish

This is the clearest view yet of the not-an-M-1, BMW 1 Series M Coupe. And while the psychotape is off, it's still not very good. We can see a more aggressive front end, a larger rear spoiler, split spoke wheels, externally mounted rear-view mirrors, quad exhaust pipes and the BMW twin-kidney grille. So, this reveal is just chock-full-o-surprises.

There's a video after the jump that manages to show less than we have here. Still, it's still kind of cool and worth the minute.

It sorta looks like it's trying to breath from under the camo, it also looks like the quarter poanels are going to have more bulge like the z3m, maybe not

I like it already. Now I just have to come up with the cash so I can afford this as a spare car. :)

I see this as the M for people who also care a little bit about fuel consumption and vehicle size.

I see this as a half-assed M for BMW to suck in people with a barely perceptible difference over the normal 135 but get 7-10k more for it (the same way the 335is is a half-assed update to the 335i).

I'm taking a wait and see approach. The car also made an appearance at Elkhart Lake Friday night- for the BMW CCA Oktoberfest Awards banquet.
