You may only know Samuel Hubinette as Dodge's top drift man, but he's Swedish and has some experience under his belt in European rallycross (wheel-to-wheel rally racing). He got his first racing license at the tender age of 16 when he drove a Volvo 142 in Sweden's junior rallycross series.
So Hubinette should feel right at home in the new SuperRally event at X Games 16 that will have 4 drivers at a time racing door-to-door. He'll drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X rally car built by Canadian rally driver/drifter Andrew Comrie-Picard. Like Pastrana's Subaru WRX rallycross car, this Evo's engine breathes through a 45mm restrictor and is reportedly making close to 600 hp.
Here's some video of one of Hubinette's practice sessions. Skip to 1:15 to see him put the Evo up on two wheels.
