Photoshop Contest #2: Hypercompacts

Jaguar Kitten.jpg

The Jaguar Kitten, by James Riswick.

With Photoshop Contest #1: The Merger, being the wild success it was (seriously, kids, those were horrible, horrible renderings of a future that should never be) we're moving forward with the second installment of the theme with #2: Hypercompacts.

The improbable Aston Martin Cignet started this whole thing off and we're going to take it one step too far!

Pick your favorite micro or mini car, give it fancy new clothes, an engine instead of a passenger seat, whatever just send it to Submissions@edmunds.com by 00:00:01 July 30, 2010!

Good luck.

And one more for inspiration by Mark Takahashi after the jump.

American Motors was successful for many years in introducing new models that were literally chopped off versions of larger AMC cars. Then they went a bit over the top and came out with the Pacer, a completely new model, which was billed as "the first wide small car". I believe the Pacer sedan and Stationwagon hastened the demise of the company.

They were way ahead of the curve, in one way, with the Pacer stationwagon version-- it weighed about 4500 pounds.

Some of the AMC chop jobs have become collectible-- the AMX in particular, which was a chopped off Javelin pony car.

I bet we will see the Mini Lambo be test driven by not the Stig but the Stigs 6 year old son.

Some say that his first finger paint art project was a 6-speed shift diagram.

Some also say that he managed 10 minutes at the Nuremberg in a Tricycle.
