The next new Jaguar won't be a sedan. It will be small sports cars called the XE, and a concept version will debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show -- 50 years after the debut of the original XKE, you know, the E-Type. The above image isn't the actual car, of course, but a rendering we dug up of what a small open-top Jag concept could look like with the automaker's current design language.
Jaguar's new XE will be based on a shortened version of the all-aluminum architecture for the next-generation XK coupe and convertible, which are expected to grow in size to give them more legitimate 2+2 capability. -- Reporting by Richard Bremner

Wow, now that's the sexiest looking Jaguar I've ever seen. I don't care what the specs are or what the price is. If I had the money, I would soooooo get this car.
Of all the Jags, this by far is the sexiest, head turning car. You'd have to be really dull to not like this car.

Jaguar had find and HIRE whoever rendered this. Unbelivable and one of the best designs I have seen in quite a while. It seemlessly brings in elements of Jaguar design language and very nicely proportioned.
I like the rims personally but yes, would have to reduce the size by a couple of inches for real world use most likely.

Not sure I'm diggin it. Lose the Harlem urban dubs and give me more of what the original looked like .....but for 2011. The 61 XKE was sex on wheels . I think its the rectangular grill that I dont buy.......not on an XKE redo. Maybe the coupe rendering will help some.

This rendering got me thinking; the real XJ looked better than the concept. So the new XE...oh mama. Z4 is already fugly, the SLK is for single women who can't afford an SL, it's time for a change. Wouldn't mind a Lexus in that roadster category. But what happened to those nicely detailed black lines around the seats on Jaguars? I miss them.
