Turns out the sketches Infiniti released in May of the two cars it will unveil at the Pebble Beach, Calif., Concours d'Elegance festivities on August 13 and 14 will be additions to the automaker's best-selling compact G line. Currently, the line includes the G37 sedan, the 4-seat G37 coupe and the 4-seat G37 convertible.
That still seems to leave the door open for a 2-seat sportscar with styling cribbed from the Essence concept. The second vehicle (top) has a crossover-ish look so perhaps a tall, five-door G hatchback is in the works (hopefully with more utility than the EX crossover). Also, don't forget that Infiniti has said it will offer a smaller, normally-aspirated 2.5-liter V6 in a G25 model sometime in the 2011 model year.

The answers are easily deduced. The top car is the G25 sedan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc_HOGhi7TM) with the aforementioned V6, and the bottom is the G37 coupe (http://www.zazzle.com/g37_coupe_brush_mouse_pad_mousepad-144799174690981334) with the Infiniti Performance Line (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/05/24/infiniti-performance-line-ipl-is-coming-this-year/)

There already is a G based hatchback. The ex35.
I thought we already deduced what these possibly are as cited by adb4.
I would like to see a more essence look to the G37 coupe though.

Hmmmm....wonder if it could be some sort of Z4 competitor?

Well I might not be a magazine editor, but I received a advertisement from Nissan/Infiniti last week on furture concepts, and a two seater that is basically the 370z as an Infiniti is due to come out in 2013. The 370z Nismo is already better equipt the the Z4, but with some fine tunning, it will rip the BMW a new one.
I am sure that the 2011/12 G Sedan/Coupe will have Essence inspired lines just as the new M has. The new M drives fantastic, and looks great. So although it won't appeal to everyone's taste, the new G will be outstanding.
The G25 only makes sense if it were to be a hybrid, but to have a car slotted closer to the IS250 or 328i is a joke. The G already is priced at the same intro level that Lexus and BMW cannot match. It would make more sense to produce a G35 Hybrid Sedan or if Infiniti really must start lower, how about a G25 Turbo. This sounds more like Renault is going to take advantage of the poor quality that Mercedes hides with an over priced, poorly constructed C Class.

lions208487,
Do you have any more information on that advertisement? Did you get it in the mail or on the internet?
It is very interesting that Infiniti will be bringing out a 2-seat sports car.
