Here's the first sketch of BMW's upcoming carbon-fiber-bodied electric car. Slated to go on sale in 2013, this four-seater will be part of a whole line of Megacity cars. BMW plans to position its city car line as a sub-brand a la the Motorsport division.
BMW is developing the car's carbon-fiber body with the Seattle-based company SGL Carbon LLC. Company officials say the unit-body will be 30 percent lighter than equivalent aluminum body. This lightness is key to a longer cruising range, as BMW expects to do much better than the Mini E's approximately 100-mile range.

Okay, well, thanks for sharing BMW. Not sure what I am looking at but I can't wait to see how much this costs, and if it handles like a BMW should.

If this is all the far along they are is an artisitic rendering I'd bet this won't be out before 2013. Maybe not by 2023.
