2011 Nissan Rogue Shows Itself at Nissan Z Car Convention

2011Rogue___102.jpg

Tomorrow at the National Z Car Convention in Nashville, TN, Nissan will show its refreshed 2011 Nissan Rogue to a crowd of eager Nissan fans.

The new(ish) Rogue sports an egg-crate chrome grille, deeper, more angular fog-lamp shrouds, a new front and rear spoiler, chrome license plate surround side door guards and-- for the Rogue S Krom (18-inch wheels, more aggressive styling and revised exhaust) and SL, new 18-inch aluminum wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires. (That should do wonders for turning and stopping.) This drives the EPA highway ratings to 22 / 28 mpg for FWD Rogues and 22 city 26 highway mpg for the AWD models.

I'm still not sure if I like that grille but I will say that it's an improvement. The previous grille looked like a bunch of holes that were cut into the bumper with a kitchen knife.

Given how ugly this Rouge is, they have a lot of ground to "make-up".

Nissan make blush? Do you apply it while drving your Rogue?

Uh....guys, that's "Rogue"-- not "Rouge". I don't think Nissan has gotten into cosmetics.

Anyway, the styling is really improved (surprisingly, considering current Nissan designs). I especially like the new grill, which is really an improvement over the latest Murano. Much more stylish than the perforated looking front end of the original Roque. (I like a chromed grill.)

Much more elegant looking car. Now, when does the convertible model come out?

Might want to check that again, Mike.

A little confusing.. the '10 Rogue AWD got 26 highway.

You missed one correction in the last sentence.

I literally yawned in the middle of reading this article. No joke.

I have an 08 Rogue and love it. I do like the new front end a lot and thats the only thing I dont like about the current Rogues style. Is it me or do the new wheels look a lot like the Mazda CX-7's? I guess the total redesign will be around 2013 or 2014. I cant wait!

Nice exterior changes, although I was hoping it would look more like the European Nissan Qashqai. Any interior changes? They need to include a built in GPS instead of offering the portable units.

The foglight openings are, like the freshened Altima's, a tad overwrought. Otherwise, nice update!

Got bags under its eyes.
Must have pulled many all-nighters to get to this point.

cannot believe people think this is an improvement. Looks worse and I didnt think that was possible.
