This custom 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, was apparently in the later of the series of art-house films, known as Fast and Furious. This fact will surely significantly increase the amount of money someone will pay for the car, known as Hammer, when it crosses the auction block at this weekend's inaugural Barrett-Jackson event in Orange County, California.
Maybe it's because we had, on principle, to stop seeing the movies in that series sometime immediately after the first one, but we think we'd pay more if it hadn't appeared in Fast & Furious 4 or Tokyo Drift.
Whatever, this Sterling Gray hardtop built by Steve Strope of Pure Vision Design in Simi Valley, California, is one of cooler resto-mod Mopars we've seen. Oh and it's powered by an aluminum 528 Hemi. The Hammer also sat in Chrysler's SEMA booth way back in 2004.
A few of you might recall that we one took this car out to Willow Springs Raceway for some rear-tire exfoliation experiments. Make the jump to see and hear the video we made of that day along with a couple more pics of the car.
You didn't actually want to hear that guy talking, did you? Didn't think so. Oh, and the Orange County Barrett-Jackson will also feature a 1936 Ford Custom Five Window coupe built by some tattooed dude who used to be with Sandra Bullock.
