2011 Scion tC by Five Axis

scion-tc-fiveaxis-f34-1600.jpg

Scion didn't waste any time letting tuners attack the new 2011 tC coupe. It handed one over to Five Axis well before the world debut, and this is the result.

Better? Well, that's for you to decide. Wide fenders and deep-dish wheels are hard to get wrong, although we've seen this look from Five Axis before, so the designers there don't get much credit for originality.

Ugh! This makes me taste bile. What the hell is the matter with Toyota lately? As-in, the past ten years?

This is the first scion that I would want to actually buy.

I think overall, Scion has been a bust. I'd be impressed if I could actually go to a dealership and buy something similar to this concept. I'd be impressed if I could configure as much performance as I desired and could afford, plunk down some cash and drive it home. Instead, we get econoboxes with a few choices of bolt-on crap I could just as easily purchase from Pep Boys and install myself on a Corolla or Matrix. If I were so inclined, why would I go the Scion route over another if I still have to do all the mods myself?

quite hideous car, can't find anything to redeem it. By the way, these are not "deep dish wheels". Not even close actually, as there is no lip at all.

This one looks better than the normal version, but I can't believe that it took toyota 6 years to come up with this hot mess of a car!

And now I see... I personally think that it's one of the more dramatically styled Toyota's (within the past 10 years or so) It may not be pretty to everyone, but at least it looks like it has soul. Ugly? That's a bit of an exaggeration don't you think? They could have done worse. They could have just not offered it at all. First it was the LFA. Then it was the Sienna Minivan (worth the try). Next is this option tC. And then it will be the AE-86. I say, Toyota is making an effort. Be prepared, there will be a few more ugly ducklings (xD and xB) in their hunt for "style", but they'll come around (upcoming AE-86 and anticipated next gen Camry)...

I can just picture the sort of people who would like/buy this car.
