America may not be a nation of wagon lovers, but that doesn't stop the European automakers from trying to change our minds.
The latest arm-twist comes wrapped in stylish 2011 Mercedes E-Class sheet metal and boasts nearly 70 cubic feet of cargo capacity and 6.5 feet of flat loading storage.
Available only as an E350 4Matic, the E-Class wagon uses the same 268-horsepower 3.5-liter engine as the E-Class sedan.
Priced at $56,850, the new wagon offers three rows of power-operated seats that reconfigure to accommodate seven passengers.
Plus it looks cool parked next to the SLS AMG GT3.

Call me odd but I think that's the best looking product in the entire MB USA portfolio. Good looking wagon.

now if they swapped 268hp 3.5 v6 in the c350, e350, e350 cabriolet, e350 wagon 4matic, ml350, r350, dodge challenger, dodge charger, and chrysler 300 for the slk's 300hp 3.5 v6. it would make them even more competitive

Should be interesting getting into the 3rd row on a low roof wagon. Maybe the seats face rearward like an old Oldmobile wagon.

Are you under the impression that the 3.5 in the challenger, charger and 300 is a Mercedes engine?
Or do you thing Mercedes is using a Chrysler engine?

seriously, mercedes--put the v6 turbodiesel in this thing. not saying that the 3.5 won't do the trick, just saying that the diesel would do it so much better
