The redesigned 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG has been testing on the Nurburgring this week.
Not only are these photos the clearest look thus far of the four-door coupe's revised bodywork (though we've already seen the regular-strength CLS with minimal camo), they're evidence of the serious workout the car was getting on the Nordschleife. Notice, for instance, that the front brake rotors are glowing red. Our shooters report that the CLS63 prototype had just entered a fast right-hander.
This is encouraging, as it suggests Mercedes is committed to making the CLS63 behave like the surprisingly capable, unexpectedly sharp E63 AMG.
It's likely, too, that the CLS63 will follow the upcoming S63 in adopting Benz's new direct -injected and twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8, which we've already seen in action on the dyno.

That's not the Niurburgring -- that's Lewis Hamilton leaving Albert Park a few weeks ago.
Sorry -- I had to ...

Amazing car. Mercedes-Benz knows how to make a 4-door sedan REALLY move! Nice photos, too!
