Spy Photos: Ferrari Finally Redesigning the 612

ferrari-612-f34-1600.jpg
It's been in need of a redesign since the day it arrived and now these spy photos reveal that a new generation Ferrari 612 is on the way. Obviously, the current bodywork was left intact on this test mule, but there are some obvious signs that there's something going on underneath.

All that snow is one good indicator. They don't take perfectly good production cars to the Arctic all that often, so the fact that this car was caught on the frozen tundra of a Swedish test center is a pretty good indication of its pre-production status.

Also note the stacked exhaust tips out back and what looks like a modified wheelbase. Should be a pretty heavy redesign, which is good. Expect to see something more concrete by this time next year.

I like the current 612, actually, I find it to be the classiest looking of the modern Ferraris.

My first glance at the top photo (before reading the headline) had me thinking, "Whoa! Porsche is making a Panamera coupe?". Not sure if that bodes well for Porsche, or poorly for Ferrari.

Nothing a Boss 429 hood scoop can't fix!
