This is the first shot inside the cabin of the 2011 Dodge Charger. As you can see, it's a definite step up from the current model although that's not saying much. Thankfully, Chrysler's designers didn't go too far overboard with the revamp as it all looks like pretty tasteful stuff.
This prototype was also missing the small piece of camouflage that concealed the C-pillar in previous photos. As you can see after the jump, this Charger will have a slightly different profile than the current model, more like the concept that appeared -- and then disappeared - so many years ago.
Production of this heavily revamped Dodge Charger is expected to start this fall, so expect an official debut in the coming months.

Interior certainly looks better, but the material quality will tell the tale.

Looks promising. As is the current Charger is a really good rear drive V8 car that is only let down by an uninspiring interior.
Could be a hit.

Looks good, I'm looking forward to seeing this and the new 300.

Visually it's a huge improvement. Everything else is just icing.

They still need to do something about the angry nose.

The wheel! :)
I hope the materials inside have a good look/feel.

Liking the shapes, but the silver trim looks too shiny to be framing the guages.

Chrysler has made great strides in materials quality as evidenced in the new Challenger and 300 refresh. (Trust me, they're worlds better than the Nitro)
This is really nice- the assembly is great and the dash is seamless. Mercedes (not to mention BMW) can't even pull that off.

I really like that design, especially the IP. Nice big gauges in a single pod that can be swept at a glance. Well done. So far all signs point to a Chrysler product I'd actually consider. I'll say it again after the Corvette Carbon post: Will wonders never cease?

That's a sweet truck interior.

I don't get how anyone can tell that interior quality has upgraded just by looking at a grainy picture of a new dash layout.
I, for one, will reserve my judgment for when I can see it in person and actually see and feel the difference.

The dash is not in the least color coordinated with the upholstery, a cost cutting measure that means all Charger dashes will be monotone, with silver plastic around the IP. Yuck.
Too much shine, especially the shifter surrround and the console storage bin.
And I agree with flicmod.

@ed124c- At least it looks like they are coordinating the door panels with the seats. In the current model its allll black.

That's pretty horrible, really. Like something from the nineties. Too much brightwork, too. Actually, I think that it is that huge swatch of brushed metal that really ruins it!

how about the interior looks pretty nice and I really dont care how my in person inspection of the softness of the plastics goes. Who cares how it feels? The design is modern and the nav screen is huge and its a major step up. There's hard plastic in a $40k 1 series BMW but people are demanding Bentley like interior quality from a Dodge. Give me a break.

Always thought the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 were the best examples of rear-drive full-sized sedans for the money. Suprisingly, they come from a company that barely has a pulse these days. The interior looks good but that plastic painted silver surround on the gauges and audio system has to go. Other than that I think we have a winner! Can't wait to see what the exterior ends up looking like.

Is it just me or is that the same interior layout as a Kia Rio? Even the gauges are similar with the fuel and coolant being enclosed in the speedo and tach. Since most of the design was done under Daimler/Cerberus Fiat didn't have much to work with.
